The Q sang the national anthem at Infineon Raceway this weekend. I have never been to a race track before, and it was certainly different! I can't say that I share the love and affection that many people have for the sound of combustible engines. However there is no denying that they love it, and I do enjoy watching people experiencing their passion, whatever that might be. The classic custom cars were fun to look at, and the hot rods were right out of a comic book. I'll have some photos soon to post from this event.

The Goodguys/K&N Filters 15th Nitro Nationals Drag Races. This event, the second stop in the 2003 Goodguys VRA drag racing series, will feature more than 400 race cars in quarter-mile drag racing action. On-track racing will include 250-mph, front-engine Top Fuel dragsters, blown alcohol coupes & sedans, gassers, altereds & hundreds more competing in 12 different classes of competition. A vendor midway and a car show with more than 500 1972 and older street rods, customs, classics, muscle cars, trucks and street machines will also be featured.
