If you haven't yet seen The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, run to the nearest independent theater and check it out. It's an inspirational tale of urban renewal (of the personal, not architectural type). While in San Francisco last weekend, we walked to the base of Telegraph Hill, thinking we might catch sight of the parrots. To our surprise, a large flock was calling out as we approached, and, dodging a pair of seagulls, the flock began circling right over our heads.
