It was a perfect day in May. We went hiking on Monday up on the Terra Linda/Sleepy Hollow divide. Great views of our valley... In this shot of San Pedro Mountain, you can see the bright blue roof of the Marin Civic Center (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright), with the bay beyond. Our house is nestled at the far left of the mountain. We are having one of the best wildflower years ever. We were sorry to read a notice on this trail that in the next few years they will be removing most of the beautiful eucalyptus trees that line the ridge. They are not native to the area, so they have become an target for those wanting to reduce fire risk in the hills where too many homes have been built. As summer heat builds up (finally! it has been such a long, cool spring), the hills put on their gorgeous summer colors.
