There is nothing like the smell of a baby's head, and holding her in your arms as you rock, until she falls asleep. Nothing like dressing her up in funny (but oh! so cute) clothes and oohing and ahhing over her. Nesyah is beautiful and a very calm presence in the world.

The drive to Los Angeles was long, and the drive home even longer. I don't recommend doing all that driving in one short weekend. Especially if I have to do most of it. Lola was a good traveller, but she is sure glad to be home. Dogs like their sleep as much as they do their routines, and she did not get much sleep while guarding all those unfamiliar doors.
